Audi A6 2.8 Quattro 5speed Auto with Tiptronic. Late 97 model. Only 109,700 miles 3 previous keepers For Sale £1100 O.N.O Grab yourself a Winter Bargain Four Wheel Drive. I am selling my A6 Quattro, as I am unable to afford to keep and run a 3rd car in our family, which is a real shame because its V6 engine is sweet and drives and handles exeptionally. I bought it Sept last year and have used it on weekends, mainly motorway driving and I have covered over 3000 miles with no problems. The rest of the time it is stuck on my driveway, which is such a waste of a great car. The tax has expired and is currently SORN. Mot expires April 2013. The exterior is in overall good condition with a few minor bad points which i will mention later. It has 5 original Quattro 16" alloys with tyres at 3-4 mm tread depths. There are some light scratches and dings on body, but do not detract from overall appearance. Looks great after wash and polish. The interior is in excellent clean condition, still smells new. No smokers or pet odours. Leather is in great condition. It comes with top spec - BOSE sound system with 6CD changer. Amazing sound quality Dual zone climate control air conditioning Electric seat adjustment, with electric lumbar support adjustment Cruise control Electric windows, mirrors On board computer Storage compartments everywhere! Front/rear cup holders Engine and gearbox sound and work fine. Engine pulls well, sounds amazing and can manage 30mpg on motorway run. Expect 20-25mpg around town. The engine is so understressed I am certain this engine will be good for another 100K no problem. The last owner had owned car for over 10 years and has all MOT certificates. It has full service history up to 100K. I have changed oil and filter at 106K. The owner had told me that the cambelt was replaced at some point but have no receipts to prove. I have Service pack Wallet with documents, and spare keys. Now for some less than good bits.....I know - it was too good to be true! Small areas of rust bubbling around drivers rear wheel arch, paint scratched drivers front arch, very slight bubble on PSF wing (see pics) Alloy wheels have some corrosion under paint but still look ok Fuel gauge reads quarter when empty, been told sender units faulty- not bothered me as I have been resetting trip and treating 1/4 gauge as empty. Small drip from centre Diff left on driveway when been stood for ages - not major as level was checked and needed 50ml top up. Have lived with it since. Some scratches on rear bumper RH (see pic) Small crack on windscreen passenger lower near wiper rest position, not MOT issue and has not got any worse in over a year. Front brake discs corroded on inner surfaces, pads still ok though, but if to be used daily would advise new front discs and pads as the brakes dont "bite" as well as they should. The remote fob has stopped working a few weeks ago when the battery went flat. Well thats about it , think I have covered everything. I have been honest as possible. Any inspection welcome.
